Kisumu County’s Finance Executive Nerry Achar last week got a relief after a Nairobi court temporarily suspended impeachment proceedings against him.

Employment and Labour Relations Court Judge, Maureen Onyango had put on hold the decision by the Kisumu County Assembly who had pushed for the impeachment of Mr Achar.

They had tabled a motion before the Parliament by Kolwa East MCA Steve Owiti leveled several accusations against Achar, for instance being responsible for declining county revenue. He was also called for lacking relevant academic qualifications and for refusing to submit relevant financial reports.

The MCAs have today impeached Mr. Achar and have called for the DCI and EACC to open probe.
