Cabinet Secretary for education Professor George Magoha visisted Nyalenda and Manyatta slums unannounced, mopping out pupils who have not yet joined form one to ensure the government`s 100 percent transition is successful.Magoha says no child should left out of school due to lack of school fees since the government has allocated sh22,500 per child to ensure that the 100 percent transition is achieved.

He criss crossed the slums, visiting house after house as he sought to establish if the selection of  beneficiaries of the bursary funds was being done well.

In Nyalenda and Manyatta slums, a total of 16 pupils were taken to Kassagam Secondary School and he has said that more will still be mopped by the local administrative within Kisumu County to ensure that all the pupils who sat for KCPE exams last year are admitted to form one. He added that the 100 percent transition is at 99 percent and they are going to reach the target within the next few days.IMG-20200205-WA0014
