The number of coronavirus cases in Kenya has risen to 15 when 8 more people tested positive for the virus.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the 8 cases included 5 Kenyans and 3 foreigners, a Mexican and 2 French Nationals. They are individuals aged between 20 to 57 years, who arrived in the country from Europe and the US between March 4 and March 17, and they are currently under isolation at various facilities.
He further announced that the government is tracing 363 people who are believed to have been in contact with the 8 new patients.
The CS pleaded with Kenyans to remain focused on exercising high levels of hygiene and maintaining social distance as the most effective way to avoid contracting the virus.
