British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved into intensive care in his 10-day battle with the coronavirus.
The government said the decision was a precaution and that the prime minister had been in good spirits earlier in the day. But with Mr. Johnson’s aides releasing few details about his condition, the nation kept a tense vigil on Monday night, hoping for the best and experiencing, together, the frightening mysteries of this disease.
The 55-year old announced that he had tested positive for the virus on March 27, describing a cough and a fever in a video posted on Twitter.
Boris has been running the government remotely during his isolation and remains in charge despite his hospitalization.
