Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. George Magoha has announced that schools will re-open in June.

Schools were previously scheduled to re-open on May 4, but this has been pushed to June due to the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country which now amount to 355 infected cases, 14 deaths, and 105 recoveries.

Magoha, however, added that the national exams (KCPE and KCSE) are still on. He said that the students have been given enough time to revise on their own during the lockdown, with online classes, and the time they have spent at home equals the time they normally have during holidays when schools are closed.
