Trying to find the best movie to watch on Netflix can be a daunting challenge. We’ve all been there. You’ve decided you’re going to watch something. You have the entirety of Netflix at your disposal, including even a pared down list of films you’ve already bookmarked to watch at a future date, but you’ve got to find something that fits your mood. You spend hours browsing, and by the time you stumble on something you think maybe is the one, it’s too late, you’re too tired, and indecision has won out.
Here are some of the best top 10 movies on Netflix to keep you entertained as you stay at home amidst the Lockdown:
1. The Irishman
Netflix’s most ambitious and expensive project to date is this 3.5-hour epic based on the life of Frank Sheeran, errand boy for the Mafia and friend of Jimmy Hoffa. Martin Scorsese directs living legends like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci to some of the best work of their career. It is epic, elegiac, and unforgettable — a commentary on a violent life and, really, the filmmaker’s entire body of work.
2. Extraction
The film was released on April 24, 2020, by Netflix. It received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances and action sequences, but criticized the plot and excessive violence. A sequel is in development.
3. The Half of It
A shy, introverted student helps the school jock woo a girl whom, secretly, they both want. The Half of It is a 2020 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Alice Wu. It stars Leah Lewis, Daniel Diemer, Alexxis Lemire, and Collin Chou. Netflix released the film on May 1, 2020 to positive reviews.
